belongs to the holding company Indorama Ventures Public Company Limited.
With over 14,000 employees working in 17 countries, it is one of the world’s leading producers of petrochemical products and manufacturers of wool yarn.
The first European manufacturing plant was opened in 2006 in Lithuania, and with a capacity of over 241,000 metric tons, it became the largest in Europe.
Orion Global PET has won several awards: from the Lithuanian government in 2007, Exporter of the Year in 2009, Successfully Managed Company of 2010; it was awarded gold medals by the Union of Lithuanian Industry for product of the year for Ramapet PET resin, N1 (2009), R1 (2010) and R1L (2011), and it won the award for Best Chemical Company in 2012.
What solution was needed at Orion Global PET, and how was it implemented?
The company needed a project management system with sophisticated settings to be used for directing the planned general repairs of the chemical plant, where every hour that production is shut down costs millions of Euros.
The solution provided was Instant Team Hosted, which was used throughout the whole period of preparations for the planned shutdown (2 years) and for 1 year after the resuming of operations.
